Day 1: India-Beijing

Board a flight from India to Shanghai. On arrival The prelude of your escorted China tour starts guide will accompany you in a comfortable vehicle to the 4-star Holiday Inn Central Plaza Hotel and help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city on your own. You can walk northward along the hotelís Caiyuan Street for about 130 meters to Zaolin Front Street, and head east along the street for 800 meters to the famous Ox Street, where you will find the best Muslim food and many delicious local snacks.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Beijing

Today your memorable tour starts. You will meet your group members in the hotel lobby and have a short meeting with your guide. Then head to the first stop today, the impressive Tianíanmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. Many constructions of great historical importance have been built on and around it. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but also appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of the authentic Chinese food. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests. As the dwelling of the God of Heaven, it covers an area even larger than the dwelling of the emperor, Forbidden City. To round out a memorable start to your travel, we will arrange a lively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater.Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Beijing

Breakfast at the hotel, After breakfast in the morning, you will take an excursion to Badaling to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. You can wear a pair of comfortable shoes as you need to climb steps to get on the wall. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. To celebrate and commemorate this moment, we specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. The restaurants nearby the attractions are not up to our serving standard, so we do not arrange lunch today. We suggest you have a big breakfast in the hotel and take some snacks with you. Later the journey will take you to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the peaceful shadow of Longevity Mountain. The Sacred Way is a road leading to the imperial tombs, and signifies the road leading to heaven. Among all the existing Sacred Ways, this one of the Ming Tomb is the best preserved and complete. Although it has a history of more than 600 years, the Ming Tomb has been perfectly preserved. The encircling mountains, meandering river and grand mausoleum architecture have formed a majestic and large-scaled mausoleum group of integrate structure. En route to downtown, you will have a glance at the Birdís Nest (Olympic National Stadium).Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Beijing-Xian

Your first stop today is the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions. The site is divided into three areas the area for political activities centering about the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity; the residential area of royal family with main structures the Hall of Jade Ripples and the Hall of Joyful Longevity finally the sightseeing area mainly consisting of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. After that, we will serve you an a la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant with delicious food and great atmosphere. A special trip to the old Hutongs will conclude your memorable Beijing trip. Taking the local rickshaw and traveling along the narrow lanes, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture. Then your guide will see you off at the airport for the afternoon flight to Xian.On arrival in Xian, the local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area and transfer you to the downtown area to check in at the hotel for a two-night stay.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Xian

The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum will start your dayís trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. No wonder a great site to learn about Chinese ancient military affairs. At noon, a special home-cooked a la carte lunch will be served to you at a local home. Particularly, you can learn to cook Chinese food from the hostess. It is a good chance for you to learn more about the local people and will be one of the most memorable parts of your trip. In the afternoon, you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built about 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India. The pagoda is not only a precious cultural relic but also a gorgeous Buddhist architecture heritage. It is now in Xian Museum where there are also famous Jianfu Temple and many valuable exhibitions. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner.Oernight at the hotel.

Day 6: Xian-Shanghai

After breakfast, you will pay a visit to Xianís landmark construction, the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is a special experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included). Then head for Shaanxi History Museum where you can learn more history about this ancient city through the valuable bronze wares, jade, potteries, and murals from the Prehistory Period to the Qing Dynasty exhibited there. You will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a famous local restaurant and then board the flight to Shanghai. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Shanghai

A day journey will show you the essence of Shanghai. This morning, you will visit one of the four largest museums in our country, Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting art works from ancient times. Built on the ancient Chinese idea that íthe earth is square and the heaven is roundí, the museum has a distinctive appearance and looks like a bronze ware at a distance. After that, explore Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden in the south region. The symbol of Yuyuan Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Afterwards, a farewell a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be served to you at a good local restaurant which specializes in light Shanghai cuisine. In the afternoon, wander in the famous Bund area and Nanjing Road, and then visit an old street in Shanghai.Upon returning to the hotel, our guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Shanghai

Breakfast at the hotel, After breakfast day is free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Shanghai-India

Breakfast at the hotel, After breakfast check out from the hotel and you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight back to India.
